1. Be Patient, Be Scientists! 
Give your newly built minibeast homes some time before checking if anyone has moved in. Make minibeast tours a regular (but not too frequent) part of your curriculum. Explain to the children that if homes are disturbed too often, the creatures may leave. During these tours, remind them that they are acting as real scientists! 

2. Let’s Go Minibeast Hunting! 
Explore different areas of the school grounds and record where habitats can be built. Count the number of minibeasts in each place and represent your findings in the "Minibeast chart" (Downloadable Materials) or pictograph. Work together to sort the minibeasts into two categories (decided by the teacher or children). Highlight that there are many ways to sort and classify creatures. Display the results in a simple list or table. This is the science skills part of the activity, so make sure to talk about what you find, where you find it and why. 

3. Bug Bookmarks: Show Your Love! 
Back in class, let the children bond with their favourite minibeast through colouring. Use the "Minibeast drawings" in Downloadable Materials or have them draw their own. Then, create bookmarks with messages such as Minibeasts are Magic!, I ♥ Minibeasts, or I’m a Minibeast Fan! – linking the activity with the theme of recycling. 

4. Take the Magic Home 
Encourage the children to use their bookmarks instead of displaying them in class. Ask them to take them home and share what they’ve learned with their families
